 We are proud to announce the introduction of the 3D View option in the Local Edge Configurator tool. The Inclusion of the 3D feature represents a significant milestone in

our ongoing commitment to INNOVATION to provide a USER CENTRIC DESIGN approach within our software ecosystem. 

Here's what you can expect from this exciting new feature: 

• Enhanced Visualization: With 3D in LEC, the users can now visualize their designs in three dimensions with a more immersive and intuitive experience.
• Improved Decision-Making: By enabling 3D in LEC, we empower users to make better-informed decisions. The ability to view designs from multiple angles and perspectives facilitates a deeper understanding of the underlying concepts, leading to more confident and effective decision-making.
• Future-Proofing: In an increasingly digital and visual world, 3D technology is becoming indispensable across various industries. By integrating 3D capabilities into LEC, we are ensuring that our tool remains relevant and competitive in the rapidly evolving area of technology and design.

How It Works:

• Getting started with the 3D feature is simple:
• Access the 3D button from the Rack view page. This button is visible to all our Partners and Users who log in to LEC via the Design Portal.
• Inside the 3D view, users can Take screenshots of the 3D design, Zoom in, Zoom out and Fit to the original size.
• If a design has multiple Racks, the user can select a particular Rack from the Select Rack drop-down, located on the top left of the 3D view page. 
• Click on the Exit 3D view option for normal visualization.

PS: As a pilot release, the 3D View option is only made available for USA today. Same will be enabled for rest of the countries in our next releases. 

Below are the other key features made available in this release. 

• LTO option was removed from LEC

Lately in LEC, we have introduced the In stock option in LEC which is helping our users to understand about the availability of SKUs. Hence LTO is removed from LEC as planned.

• Industrial Edge Reference Designs STRATUS Design

Rack, Rack accessory and UPS are changed for the US Stratus Design (Small).

• MDC offer – Falcon, (EcoStruxure Micro Data Center R Series - Medium Density)

Enabled in 29 new countries. (EU).

• MDC offer – Raptor International, (EcoStruxure Micro Data Center)

Enabled in 33 new countries (MEA and EA).

• Added Headers to the Security and Environment Sensors section in Guided Flow.

 Hi All,

We are happy to inform everyone about our production release done today for Local Edge Configurator.

Below is the list of key features made available in this release.

1. Reference design names are shown in the CTO report. 

2. Below two NOTE are added for R - Series (Ecostruxure Micro Datacenter, low density ) offer.

a. Batteries will not be pre-integrated and are shipped lose.

b. Explaining the Available mounting depth with Fan section and without Fan section is added for the racks. Also a hyperlink was provided to the user with the complete ‘Available Mounting spaces/depth in the NetShelter SX enclosures

3. External battery selection option removed for 24U R - Series (Ecostruxure Micro Datacenter, low density ) offer racks for both EU and NAM regions. 

4. Manual search of PTO SKU’s NBACS125 and NBACS1356 is removed and instead now user will be suggested with 1 Quantity of (NBES0303, NBHN125 & NBRK0250A ) and (NBES0303, NBHN1356 & NBRK0250A) respectively. 

5. C – Series (Easy Micro Data Center) offer- For the International region, Rail kits will be added for the additional batteries.

Hi All,

We are happy to inform everyone about our production release done today for Local Edge Configurator.

Below are the list of key features made available in this release.

• New ‘Global Search’ Implemented in Expert Flow -  We have implemented an auto-suggest feature for the global search. The new search will help users see immediate suggestions and modify their search queries on the fly, making the search process more efficient and user-friendly. To further optimize the system, we have segregated APC products and third-party searches separately.

• Guided flow

1. Users will be able to select multiple Rack accessories for their design.
2. External battery packs will be added to UPS based on the load and Run time option selection
3. A rack-type filter implemented
4. Service SKUs for NBRK0750 and NBRK0250A are added.
5. UPS voltage range modified to below values. 
6. The Expected Run time selection option provided under the UPS
7. PDU Amperage selection option provided under Rack PDU option

6th July Release

 Below are the key features list made available on this release,

25th October Release

 On this release we have,

1. Included the 1200mm deep enclosures for 'Ecostruxure Micro Datacenter, low Density (R Series)' configurator.

2. Displaying a message that 'Ecostruxure Micro Datacenter C-Series 43U' enclosure’s visual representation doesn’t include UPS, PDU, cooling.

3. Start-up services recommendation for single phase UPSs is included.

Leading with Connectivity

On March 17th, we introduced a feature for our US and Canadian users that helps you understand the best software and digital services that match the solutions you build. At the start of every solution, Local Edge Configurator now asks you who is expected to monitor and who shall service the solution when it arrives at the customer site. Then when you reach the check-out page, we recommend rack level software or digital services as outlined here: 

Monitoring and Dispatch Services

This is recommended if you indicate that Schneider Electric will be both monitoring and servicing the solution. 

This is a completely hands-off service offer that includes 24/7 proactive monitoring, remote support and on-site support from Schneider Electric, with parts and labor included.

• Leverage our extended team of experts to handle everything and extend your reach in the field
• Free up your staff and let them focus on other areas of your business
• Minimize business disruptions and reduce your OpEx with more proactive service support
• Gain peace of mind

When you reach the check-out page, Local Edge Configurator will recommend the most appropriate Monitoring and Dispatch service for each of your racks. These need to contain a minimum of a UPS and rPDU. The service SKU will change if you add a Netbotz or rack-mount cooling unit. The VA rating of the UPS also impacts the service SKU offered.

Dispatch Services

This offered if an end user or partner is monitoring the solution while Schneider Electric is servicing the it.

This is an upgrade service offer to EcoStruxure IT Expert that provides advanced remote and on-site support from Schneider Electric, with parts and labor included.

• Remain in control and monitor using our hosted software
• Get training from our experts to perform basic remote support
• Position yourself to earn more monthly revenue on our software
• Avoid unpredictable service costs

At the check-out page, the tool recommends relevant Dispatch Services suited to your UPS, extra batteries and rPDUs if at all. Choose a service that lasts for 1 year, 3 years or 5 years.  

EcoStruxure IT Expert

When the end user or partner is monitoring and servicing the solution we recommend EcoStruxure IT Expert.

This is a hosted software for do-it-yourself remote monitoring and device management by you or your customers.

• Add Managed Power Services to your portfolio
• Unlock new hardware opportunities
• Gain recurring monthly revenue
• Proactively plan on-site support with your own services team
• Integrate IT Expert into your existing remote monitoring and management (RMM) system by leveraging its public APIs

When you reach the check-out page, you are offered an EcoStruxuture IT Expert SKU for each rack that should service the equipment that can be monitored. This includes UPSs, rPDUs, Netbotz rack monitors, ATS, rack mounted cooling equipment and third party equipment such as servers, networking equipment and  storage devices. The licenses can be for 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 or 100 nodes and you can select monitoring for 1 year, 3 years or 5 years. 

EcoStruxure Asset Advisor

If Schneider Electric is monitoring while either the end user or partner is servicing the solution or it is unknown at this time, we recommend EcoStruxure Asset Advisor.

This is a monitoring service offer that includes 24/7 remote monitoring and support from Schneider Electric for faster remediation and greater visibility.

• Get access to our Network Operations Center
• Capture recurring monthly revenue by letting us handle monitoring and remote support
• Easily collaborate and quickly troubleshoot with us on our incident-based chat
• Receive personalized monthly reports with insights and recommendations

At the check-out page, LEC offers one WADV1PEAA (1 Yr Advantage EcoStruxure Asset Advisor Srvc for (1) UPS up to 10kVA) SKU per UPS in your solution.

If you don't know who will be monitoring the solution, we do not recommend any software or digital service at the check-out page.

To help select the most suitable software or digital services for your solution, Local Edge Configurator now checks if you have mountable equipment in the Rack View. If you do have equipment that is not placed in a rack, a warning is presented in the check-out page that can be ignored, but it's always best to fully configure out your solution. 

Note: To get the full value of these digital services or software, you should select UPSs that include Network Management Cards and rPDUs that are remotely manageable, i.e. not basic ones. 

This feature will be available in other countries over the coming months. 

March 2021 Release

 This month, we introduced a number of bug fixes and enhancements including the following:

• Level 3 Maintenance and Dispatch Services now supported for solutions that include cooling.
• Additional third party products are now included.
• Connector issues reported between UPSs and rack mount PDUs are now warnings rather than errors to allow users to continue with their solutions.

November 2020 Update

Industrial Reference Designs are now available in Switzerland.

A number of bug fixes including:

• There were issues in October where the dimensions of devices were reported incorrectly resulting in incompatibility issues.
• AP9630 was replaced with AP9640 for guided reference designs.
