We are happy to inform everyone about our production release done today for Local Edge Configurator.

 

Below is the list of key features made available in this release.

 

• Service Recommendation is now Available in the Expert flow

The new Service Recommendation feature will provide suggestions with compatible Services based on the CRs used in your LEC design. You can add these compatible service SKUs to your design before checking out from the LEC.

 

How it works:

1. You will see options for Factory warranty, 3 Year, and 5 Year.
2. The Factory warranty option provides comprehensive details about the standard warranty for the CRs used in the design and is selected by default.
3. To view the recommended 3 Year service SKUs for the CRs in your design, select the 3 Year option and click Confirm to add the desired services for the selected CRs.
4. For the recommended 5 Year service SKUs, choose the 5 Year option and click Confirm to add the desired services for the selected CRs.
5. You can unselect a few CRs if you don’t require services for them.

 

• Software Recommendation is now Available in the Expert flow

The new Software Recommendation feature will suggest compatible EcoStruxure™ IT SmartConnect software SKUs based on the CRs used in your LEC design. You can add these compatible EcoStruxure™ IT SmartConnect software SKUs to your design before checking out from the LEC.

How it works:

1. You will be presented with Standard and Advanced options and by Default Advanced 1 Year will be selected.
2. You can choose any option according to your needs and click Confirm to add the corresponding SmartConnect SKU to the design.  
3. Adjust the slider to increase the quantity of EcoStruxure™ IT SmartConnect Software according to your needs (note that the limit is 1000 per click on Confirm).
4. Bonus plans and other promotions will be displayed on the Green ribbon.

 Hi All,

We are happy to inform everyone about our production release done today for Local Edge Configurator.

Below is the list of key features made available in this release.

• Pop-up window Banner to indicate that the system is undergoing maintenance or to announce any important messages to the LEC users.
• Rack Step is made skippable now in Guided Flow. This will help users to directly purchase any other APC products without selecting the Rack
• The Power report now includes more technical details of the UPS. The user will see the UPS plug details and dimensional values in the Power report.
• Proposal Documents inclusion for Easy UPS and Netbotz Products.
• Easy MDC offer tile was removed from the International Region.
• Sort feature (Sort by Price (low/high) & Popularity) extended to all the countries where currency is shown USD.

New proposal documents/technical documents have been added for all MDC offers and rack types. Users can download these from the Reports section.

We are pleased to announce the successful production release of LEC today

Below is the list of key features made available in this release.

• R Series: Ecostruxure Micro Datacenter

All the blanking panels are made compatible with the Racks

• R Series: Ecostruxure Micro Datacenter, Low and Medium Density

A complete list of SKUs that will be added to the design for MDC42USRSI & MDC42USRSI are now shown to the user

• C Series: Easy Micro Data Center

A manual search of (EMDC24UP1 and EMDC42UP1) is removed for the users.

• R Series: Ecostruxure Micro Datacenter

Service SKU’s addition option is provided for the UPS, PDU & Monitoring SKU’s.

 We are proud to announce the introduction of the 3D View option in the Local Edge Configurator tool. The Inclusion of the 3D feature represents a significant milestone in

our ongoing commitment to INNOVATION to provide a USER CENTRIC DESIGN approach within our software ecosystem. 

Here's what you can expect from this exciting new feature: 

• Enhanced Visualization: With 3D in LEC, the users can now visualize their designs in three dimensions with a more immersive and intuitive experience.
• Improved Decision-Making: By enabling 3D in LEC, we empower users to make better-informed decisions. The ability to view designs from multiple angles and perspectives facilitates a deeper understanding of the underlying concepts, leading to more confident and effective decision-making.
• Future-Proofing: In an increasingly digital and visual world, 3D technology is becoming indispensable across various industries. By integrating 3D capabilities into LEC, we are ensuring that our tool remains relevant and competitive in the rapidly evolving area of technology and design.

How It Works:

• Getting started with the 3D feature is simple:
• Access the 3D button from the Rack view page. This button is visible to all our Partners and Users who log in to LEC via the Design Portal.
• Inside the 3D view, users can Take screenshots of the 3D design, Zoom in, Zoom out and Fit to the original size.
• If a design has multiple Racks, the user can select a particular Rack from the Select Rack drop-down, located on the top left of the 3D view page. 
• Click on the Exit 3D view option for normal visualization.

PS: As a pilot release, the 3D View option is only made available for USA today. Same will be enabled for rest of the countries in our next releases. 

Below are the other key features made available in this release. 

• LTO option was removed from LEC

Lately in LEC, we have introduced the In stock option in LEC which is helping our users to understand about the availability of SKUs. Hence LTO is removed from LEC as planned.

• Industrial Edge Reference Designs STRATUS Design

Rack, Rack accessory and UPS are changed for the US Stratus Design (Small).

• MDC offer – Falcon, (EcoStruxure Micro Data Center R Series - Medium Density)

Enabled in 29 new countries. (EU).

• MDC offer – Raptor International, (EcoStruxure Micro Data Center)

Enabled in 33 new countries (MEA and EA).

• Added Headers to the Security and Environment Sensors section in Guided Flow.
